Large railway passenger transportation station (LRPS) in China is an important component of passenger transportation network. The scale and layout of hub, as well as the scale of transfer facilities, are determined by traffic organization and operation management. Then, the streamline configuration and the size of facilities can be confirmed fatherly while researching passenger flow regulation, so that the hub capacity can meet transporting demands, the relevant equipments can be optimized. Thus, the passenger dedicated line (PLD) and comprehensive traffic system can get further development. Meanwhile, passenger flow reaching regulation is the basis of traffic flow theory and plays an important role in traffic simulation. At present, there is seldom systematic research of this topic.Based on the overall introduction of domestic and abroad development and current situation, passenger flow characteristics of LRPS are analyzed. Then, various distribution models and testing methods are introduced, in addition, the advantages and disadvantages of various data acquisition methods compared. Moreover, the data of arriving passenger flow at Lanzhou railway station are collected artificially and some data analyzing software, such as SPSS and Excel, are used to deal with those data. Goodness of fit is used to test those data withχ2 method. The result shows the regulation of arriving passenger flow obey binominal distribution. Meanwhile, the layout of Lanzhou railway station is checked according to its regulation of passenger flow. Finally, the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation index system of passenger flow is established, which is used to access Lanzhou railway station. Hence, this method could provide scientific principle for organization and management of passenger flow on LRPS.
