High-torquean electromagnetic clutch is an important transmission part of Large-scale mechanical device. At present this type of clutch is lack of theories at home. The Design Process follows the traditional method. We have developed the major scientific research programs named bearing experimental platform. This thesis takes these new developmental chances. On the basis of experimental design method, we take advanced method to design and complete the engine application. The method includes digitization, parameterization and numerical simulation and so on.In terms of the technical requirements that is heavy load and high speed, we define that the torque of kinetic friction of electromagnetic clutch is 30000Nm and operate time is 0.6s.This thesis bring up the design proposal of critical component, electromagnetic field and extensional organization. We make an theoretical analysis on friction torque, slipping work, fever and acting characteristic. The essential parameter including application factor, frictional factor and magnetic density are determined. The structure of armature, field yoke, and friction plate of the cultch is designed. According to the constraint relation among each structure parameter, which aimed at the minimization of moment of inertia, the basic size of the critical component of the clutch is confirmed.MATLAB Optimization Toolbox is applied to optimize the structural parameters and we get their optimum combination.The theoretical mode of the clutch is built. This thesis analysis the structure of main component. With the software ANSYS, we simulation the magnetic field, and analysis the relationship among electromagnetic force, electricity, number of turns, space and the size of armature. As a result,we draw the cure of electromagnetic force, Besides, the thesis gets optimization parameter. In all, the conclusions meet the requirements which moment of inertia of the clutch is minimumWe check the strength of shell, mandrel, pressure plate and other parts by the software UG NX Nastran.On the understanding that the structure strength is less than admissible stress, which aimed at the minimization of mass, we optimize the structure sizes and obtain the final design model of the clutch.Using UG NX6 motion simulations the motion state of the clutch, anslysises the status of the clutch in running process and obtain the dynamic characteristic curve of the clutch in work process. Finally, through the simulation analysis we check out that optimal design of the clutch meet the Test-bed performance requirements. The control circuit of the clutch is designed. This thesis finishes the development of a pattern machine, writes the testing program. After it, the clutch has passed testing in site. As a result, the dynamic characteristic curve of the clutch in Actual use is obtained. And the rationality of optimal structure designing and dynamic simulation is tested and verified.
