As world energy crisis and environmental pollution problems become worser and the pace of people's lives quiker day after day, it makes the requirements of car's power, fuel economy and emissions performance more higher than before. In order to following the growing power of the vehicle requirements, emissions of good, we need to research control of engine speed. Because accurate constant real-time speed control of automotive engine can not only reduce driver fatigue ,traffic accidents, but also can save fuel and improve the economic performance of engine.The traditional ways of control engine speed mainly through controlling fuel injection quantity, fixed air-fuel ratio or by adjusting fuel injection to achieve change air-fuel ratio and integrated control of ignition timing to maximum engine power output and emissions best to the engine speed optimal control. But in fact, engine has complex operating conditions and only by adjusting the amount of fuel injection to achieve the theoretical air-fuel ratio control method did not have a good job and fuel economy, emissions performance been improved not significantly.The paper chooses the Toyota four-cylinder Gasoline engine 1.8LSMFi as the main object of reseach .It trys to research and designe a new system of controling engine speed which based on electronic throttle to maintain a certain amount of recycling fuel injection.The mainly ways is to control gas injection to adjust the engine speed.Firstly,the automobile engine control technology development history and the current study of domestic and international automobile engine are introduced and focusing on analysis of PID control, fuzzy control, predictive control and neural network system of air situation and so on.The paper determines Integral sparation PID and Fuzzy adaptive PID as the basic control programs in this system ;Secondly ,the operating conditions of Gasoline engine are been analyzed and we reseach different methods to adapt the different stability of the engine characteristics and then create gasoline engine speed control system integrated simulation model,it mainly includes the controlled object throttle and the car engine model, controller model; Finally, Gasoline engine speed control system hardware and softwareare been designed, it mainly includes controller selection, actuator component selection, sensor signal processing circuit, speed measurement feedback circuit, the actuator drive circuit, the controller system circuit, the software mainly constitute completion of main program, interrupt speed measurement feedback subroutine, working conditions interrupt subroutine and working conditions judgement subroutine. Simulation results show that the results of engine speed tracking accuracy, the band is small, air-fuel ratio been controled in the expected target range, the time of adjusting the throttle response is small,the control strategy is effective and feasible, It can achieve the desired control requirements.
