In order to guarantee the operation of the cutter head of shield machine driving system steady and rapid, the multi-motor synchronous operation in the driving system of cutter head of shield machine must have the properties of higher stability, quicker response, basic consistent torque and good racking performance of the master-slave motor, which put forward a higher demand for the synchronous operation control of the motors in the cutter head driving system, and it also is one of the key issues in motion control research field. This paper presents the method of system simulation, carries on design for speed and torque synchronization in four sets of asynchronous motors, and through the simulation analysis provides guidance for design, commissioning, operation of the simulation test bed.Firstly, the paper has a deep research for the performance of the asynchronous motor, analyzes the dynamic equations in all coordinate system, takes the transformation according to the variable parameter equations, applies the vector transformation theory, and sets up the cutter head driving system simulation model of four sets of asynchronous motors with MATLAB/Simulink software for the simulation platform.Secondly, the motor parameters of the system simulation model are modified, as well as when the motor load torque is ordered step change, the speed and torque change of the master-slave motor is observed, then the simulation data is carried on comparative analysis which will be used in the design of the experiment platform.By establishing the simulation mode of four sets of asynchronous motors, and using different control modes, simulation analyzes the speed following system, torque following system, the torque following control mode based on torque compensation. And according to the effects of each kind of new or improved method to the output torque of system, it will provides a good guidance for the actual situation of driving system.Finally through the design of the cutter head driving system experiment platform, the actual operation conditions of the cutter head driving system can be simulate, which can be controlled by using of PLC and inverter and other hardware devices. Referring to the master-slave motor, it has experimental analysis of frequency converter using different control modes, and it will have a profound significance for the design of actual the cutter head driving system in the shield machine.
