Small Towns Green Space System Planning Based On Ecological Infrastructure

The small town is an important component of the urbanization system. Presently, in manyregions of the small town are in the state of disorder in planning and construction which makespart of the extreme deterioration of ecological environment in small towns. It would certainlyobstruct the sustainable development of small town if there is no proper guidance. Green spacesystem planning and construction are taken valuable in order to maintain the urbandevelopment and human demand on the natural environment in the cities. In recent years, theconcept of ecological infrastructure (EI) in urban green space system has gradually been applied.EI is an advanced concept which shoud be apllied to the small town green space system planning.This paper will summary status of the small town green space system planning ,then it willconstruction and expound contend of EI and the difference between the small town greenspace system planning and urban green space system planning. The paper will also take theexample of Fotang town of Yiwu to discuss the small town green space system planning basedon the concept of EI.There four parts in the thesis.Part 1: It will define some basic concepts and will introduce the development history ofurban green system briefly. Theory research and construction conditions of small towns aresummarized.Part 2: It will describe the origin, concept, content and applications in green space systemplanning of EI, then summarize the status and problems of small town green space and thedifference between the small town green space system planning and urban green space systemplanning.Part3: It will describe the natural conditions, socio-economicconditions and ecologicalpatterns of Fotang town in Yiwu city , analyzing the security patterns of the town area and thegreen status of constructed area. It will describe the Fotang town green space system planningbased on the EI, focusing on the planning of security patterns of the town area and thecategories green space planning of constructong area.Part4: It will summarize the principles and methods of small town green space systemplanning based on the EI.
