Marine Automation is one of the important criterions for measuring the degree of the ship's modernization, it plays an important role in improving the running reliability and the economy of the ship. In order to narrow the gap between the domestic marine automation products and foreign's in the intelligence and scalability, the dissertation is about to design a digital remote control system for marine engine by reference to the current products internationally, to make it have good real-time, reliability, and scalability with a certain and good versatility.The dissertation comes from scientific research project, on the basis of analyzing the system demand, confirm the technology specification and function of system. Define the specific functions, interfaces, communication technology of each module, and then establish the remote control system.Comprise and analyze the current home and foreign field bus, choose the CAN bus as the communication technology between the modules to construct the remote control system, which can suffice the requirements of the data transmission demanding accuracy, reliability and efficiency.By using MC9S12XEP100 single chip as the core microcontroller in the remote control system, corresponding designs of the remote control system in diesel engine have been made, including the selection of MCU, analog, digital input and output circuits, serial communication interface and redundant CAN bus communication interface circuits, etc, give full consideration of electromagnetic compatibility and environmental adaptation in practice.For the convenience of controls parameter's modification and monitoring of engine working state, a touchable human-machine interface of the remote control panel has been developed by using the configuration software, this unit can provide a real-time display of diesel engine's main state parameters, load and do data analysis with the running state and alarm messages from the diesel engine, it can also send commands to the system. In order to improve the portability and real-time ability of the system, the software system is completely designed by modular design method. Debugging the hardware and software with varieties of debugging tools and verify the rationality of the system.
