The main function of M/E remote control system, which contains a set of integrated logic control circuit, is that it controls main engine starting, reversing, stopping, speed governing and safety protection remotely by specific actuator. The control signal comes from the bridge or ECR. With the development of ship automation, NABCO M-800ⅢM/E remote control system has been adopted by many large ships because of its simple operation and reliability. A large number of crews need training. While current M/E remote control system of marine simulator adopts AC4 or ACC20 system. The research on NABCO M-800ⅢM/E remote control system is still insufficient. Combined with the research of large marine simulator and crew intelligent exam system, the thesis, which was based on the existing M/E model in the lab, carried on a research on NABCO M-800Ⅲ M/E remote control system simulation modeling and virtual reality system, and completed the following work:1. Based on the actual data, this article which adopts modular design thought has established the NABCO M-800Ⅲ M/E remote control system mathematical model, which contains M/E remote control unit, the security system, the M-800Ⅲ electronic governor, parameters query and modify(a total of four main parts in all).Corresponding program designing has achieved by Microsoft Visual C++software.2. It has designed the procedure of M/E remote control system operation interfaces, alarm control unit interface, digital governor interface and parameters query and modify interface by Microsoft Visual C++ MFC tools. The simulation results show that the M/E remote control system visual interfaces are same with the actual interfaces on the ship and the mathematical models of each module are correct.3. Because of lacking sense of reality and poor maneuverability problems of the two-dimensional interfaces, this paper, which is based on virtual reality technology, adopts 3DS MAX modeling software to make the three-dimensional models of M/E remote control system, and OGRE rendering engine to complete virtual scenes real-time rendering, roaming and human-computer interaction. It has accomplished the real environment simulation of marine M/E remote control system, which can provide trainees with realistic operating environment.3. This thesis has incorporated NABCO M/E remote control virtual reality system into the existing DMS-2014 marine simulation platform. The virtual reality system and two-dimensional interfaces of NABCO M-800Ⅲ M/E remote control system could run simultaneously in the way of memory sharing data communication.
