Earned value management is also called Value creation management , by determining the index such as the cost , schedule , technology of the project and so on , analyzing the deviation between project value and actual value , forecasting the project completion date and the cost of the project completed , evaluating the effect on project management , and integrated managing the project cost , technical quality , schedule , risk , and so on . Project practice has proved that it can find out the problems and development tendency and ensure the normal development of the project design by reasonable applying earned value theory to effective dynamic monitoring the work of network engineering design and by detailed and quantitative analysis in the design phase of artificial .In the design of the project management , the schedule , cost and schedule of design work , which are interrelated and influenced each other , together constitute the target system of design management . The changes of certain aspect will arouse the changes of other two necessarily . This article comprehensively studies some aspects such as the basic theory of earned value management , parameter settings and the effect of comprehensive design project management control and so on . Beyond that , it in-depth understands the principle of management software P3e/c and the composition of management module , and it disgusses applying P3e/c to modern power engineering design projects . Taking'Nuozhadu DC by the end of supporting the exchange project'for example , it studies applying earned value to the schedule of project design and the cost of integrated control . Making use of work breakdown structure , it makes the three curves to have a strong rise by integrated controlling the deviation between two curves of ACWP , BCWP and curve BCWS . After that it conducts deviation analysis , correction control and trend forecast to the cost and schedule of the project successfully . In the end it sums up the important and difficult points of applying earned value to power engineering project management costs and schedule control.
