With the continuous development and expansion of the real estate industry, construction machinery and transportation of concrete machinery industry also have a great development. Developing space of truck-mounted concrete pump is further expanded. Therefore, it is necessary to research the truck-mounted concrete pump, especially the performance and quality of the arm. This issue is raised under this context, and has some practical significance. In this paper, we study the 48M's boom of truck-mounted concrete pump from a company. After analyzing, we determine that the five booms extending horizontally is the most dangerous working conditions. We analysis the forces in view of this condition and calculate the strength of the boom. Then, we use the software Pro/Engineer to design three-dimensional entity. With the workbench software Works environment we finish the static finite element analysis and the modal analysis. This article uses the finite element a variety of unit types characteristics, the boom system of concrete pump truck structure modeling, automatic analysis, obtained the arm structure of linear static and large deformation calculation of deformation and stress, as well as the first six natural frequency and vibration mode. Use the finite element calculation and analysis the purpose is to better understand the pump working arm of each arm to dangerous area, a comprehensive grasp of boom in the most dangerous operation condition of stress distribution, deformation and natural frequency distribution range, the next step for the arm dynamic response, fatigue analysis the parametric modeling and calculation software development to lay the foundation.
