| The recycling of waste asphalt concret (AC) has become an important issue with the rapid development of highways in China. Aiming at recycling waste SBS modified AC used in Shenyang-Dalian highway, a hot recycling agent was synthesized and developed in this work, and its regenerating effect and the onsite road application were also investigated.The changes of macro and microcosmic properties of fresh and used alsphalt were studied first, and a research method of the hot recycling agent was outlined. Then, two heavy oils were selected for systhesizing the base oil of the hot recycling agent. After that, an alcohol based benzoic acid ester was selected from five regular plasticizers for improving low temperature properties of asphalts. The formulation and synthesis conditions were optimized by an orthogonal test. Three conventional testing indexes show that the new asphalt hot recycling agent could reclaim three kinds of aged asphalts with a 10% blending ratio. The regenerating effect of the recycling agent was better than that of an import recycling agent and two domestic recycling agents.A static regeneration penetration test of aged asphalt was proposed and developed to evaluate the diffusing ability of recycling agent, and the regenerating effects of several recycling agents for the waste SBS modified asphalt were studied. Results showed that the new recycling agent synthesized in this paper had a better regenerating effect than that of the other two recycling agents. The waste SBS modified asphalt could be recovered to the level of new asphalt when adding 5wt% recycling agent. Finally, a 500 m test road was paved on the Liaoyang section of Shenyang-Dalian highway, which illustrated that the new asphalt hot recycling agent had good application effects. |
