Based on large-scale survey data of urban school facilities in Hangzhou's Xihu district in 2010, this paper focuses on the impact of urban school facilities on urban spatial organization from the aspects of spatial arrangement scale and use, service's space coverage, the actual scope of services and traffic cost, choices, equality and service satisfaction. The results show that:(1) Service radius of school facilities in Hangzhou's Xihu District is large. (2) School coverage of urban school facilities is different between urban communities and suburban communities. And school coverage is different in different periods in Xihu District. (3) Distance is beyond guidance radius. Not only is the cost of urban spatial organization increased, but also the costs of the individual families and the whole city. (4) Extracurricular education has become a common activity. (5) The quality of education is the main factor of service scope. Based on the evaluation result, the paper also makes analysis on space allocation, distribution, costs and proposes a set of strategies and policies. |
