With the development of weighing technology, some new characters, such as digitalization, intelligence and networking, have been brought into the conventional weighing device with analog weighing methods. It can be seen, by reviewing history of modern weighing technology, that two points are more important:measurement effect and user experience. Common weighing is a new concept in weighing field. And there is few of common weighing devices can be seen at marketplace. Considering the trend of development of weighing technology at home and overseas, we intend to design such a common device based on STM32(ST) and DSP(Freescale).The main work of this paper:1, The design of the digital box based on DSP(Freescale) and ADC(TI,Σ-Δ,24-bit, multiple channels). This system adopts technology of scaling, chopping, digital filtering and RS485.2, The design of the common weighing device based on STM32(ST), DSP(Freescale), ADC(Cirrus,Σ-Δ,24-bit). This system adopts modular design method and contains one independent high precision data sample unit with two sample channels. And then this system is based on the open source embedded real time operation system (RTOS) called RT-Thread. By simply configuring, the system can be applied to two different purposes:dynamic weighing and static weighing.3, The design of the communication protocol for data sample based on RS485. This protocol can be used to expand external data units (at most 4 units and 32 data channels) for this common weighing device.The outcomes of this paper:1, The digital box has been tested by authority and applied to industry weighing.2,The common weighing device has been proved by lab and industry experiments to reach the standard according to the design. And it has a good application prospect.
