Recoil mechanism was the key part of gun. When the gun fired, it produced a huge recoil energy, and most part of this energy was absorbed by recoil mechanism, so it reduced a prodigious of recoil force which impacted on gun carriage. Because of the energy which absorbed by recoil mechanism, it raised the temperature of recoil mechanism. If don't took any measure, it augmented the gun recoil length, and changed the recoil motion rule. When the recoil liquid expanded by temperature rise, or the temperature of recoil liquid reached its boiling point, or exceeded the normal temperature work range of sealing components, all of those made gun fire uncertainty or even caused gun working fault and damage. Those were the main problem when gun fired.This paper studied on the temperature rise and dissipation of a gun recoil mechanism, designed the liquid regulator through recoil liquid expanding caused by the temperature rise after gun fired, and analyzed the heat dissipation of recoil mechanism in several conditions, here was the main point:(1)Analyzed and calculated the absorbed energy and the temperature rise of Recoil mechanism after gun fired. Considered of the loss of heat in the firing process, the empirical coefficient calculation and the finite element analysis were used to calculate the net heat absorbed by Recoil mechanism. Then the temperature rise of Recoil mechanism for a shell and the maximum number of shells can be fired were known.(2) Studied the relationship between the temperature's change of Recoil mechanism and the liquid regulation. According to the temperature rise of Recoil mechanism for a shell, the corresponding volume expansion of liquid was calculated. Then recoil liquid can be regulated through designing the reasonable liquid regulator. The spring stiffness and the size of shutter hole of the spring liquid regulator need to be designed in this paper.(3) Use ANSYS made some heat dissipation analysis of recoil mechanism, and tried to get its rule. It helped to set the speed of gun firing, made sure the gun was well and avoided the gun working fault because of the fast temperature rise. This paper analyzed and calculated the heat dissipation in several conditions, like the heat dissipation when the gun firing in the altiplano, in the island, or in normal condition. At last, Used finite element dissipation analysis to compute the temperature rise in one firing, compared the normal method to validate the veracity.
