To solve the contradiction between power and maneuverability of artillery,after demonstrating the basic mechanism of variable recoil length,and the design of the overall program of variable length type recoil mechanism,this program uses the integrated design thinking,and it consists of variable length type buffer and recoil transition device.It can achieve the purpose of changing the size of the resistance through the change of angle to control the area of the liquid hole formed by the throttling tube and the throttling bar,and then install the artillery with large-diameter and large-caliber in a limited space on chassis.This will not only ensure the power of the artillery,but will also reduce the weight of the recoil mechanism and the weight of the artillery at the time of launching,so as to improve the maneuverability of the self-propelled artillery strategic shift,provides a certain method basis for the artillery lightweight design.The determination of the structural parameters of buffer is realized by applying ISIGHT to optimize the design.For the overall design of the program,the establishment of a mathematical model of variable length type recoil mechanism,the solution and calculation model of variable length type recoil buffer after drawn up the recoil brake diagram,in order to solve the recoil elements and the design parameters.Established the dynamic simulation model of the variable length type recoil mechanism by using AMESim,the verification of the feasibility of the design through the simulation of the recoil motion of the recoil mechanism with variable length.The results show that recoil speed curve is smooth without impact,the trend of recoil resistance and recoil brake diagram is roughly the same,Recoil length range of 750~1222mm,indicating variable length type recoil mechanism can achieve variable length.The optimized structural parameters further reduce the maximum recoil resistance and the structural size of the recoil mechanism.The research in this paper can provide a certain reference for the artillery lightweight design and recoil mechanism design.
