In thermal power and nuclear power, most electrical energy is generated by electric generator driven by steam turbine. If any fault happens to steam turbine, there will definitely be huge economic losses and serious social influence.Turbine Supervisory Instruments are crucial devices which used to monitor and protect safe operation of steam turbine generator unit.This thesis is based on The National High Technology Research and Development Program (863 Program) "The investigation of the condition monitoring and fault diagnosis technique and its system of supercritical ultra-supercritical large turbine", a wide investigation is made on Turbine Supervisory Instruments which are used nationally and internationally, and then a deep investigation on domestic and international technique is made, also problems of these Turbine Supervisory Instruments are raised. Aiming at these problems, the investigation of Turbine Supervisory Instruments based on embedded system is carried out, one design of Turbine Supervisory Instruments based on ARM and Linux is proposed, embedded Linux operating system is investigated and transplanted, fully functional system program is written, and a set of Embedded Turbine Supervisory Instruments with complete function, high stability and important practical application value which solves the problems of modern systems is exploited. The major content and chapter arrangement of this thesis are as follows:Chapter one summarizes current domestic and international situation and developing tendency of Turbine Supervisory Instruments, elaborates embedded system and its application in Turbine Supervisory Instruments, analyzes the problems existing in modern Embedded Turbine Supervisory Instruments, finally presents the major content and main framework of this thesis.Chapter two describes Turbine Supervisory Instruments, raises the design aim according to the industrial requirements and development tendency of Turbine Supervisory Instruments, and gives out the design proposal of Turbine Supervisory Instruments baesd on ARM and Linux after investigation and analysis. This chapter provides theoretical bases for the next work of this thesis.Chapter three introduces ARM processor, combining with system design aim, investigates and selects the embedded industrial mainboard, on this basis, distributes the storage space of the mainboard according to software design proposal and character of the mainboard. This chapter prepares for the transplant work of embedded operating system.Chapter four investigates embedded Linux, completes all the transplant work of embedded Linux, and finally evaluates the performance of the embedded platform established.Chapter five subdivides the function of application program of the Embedded Turbine Supervisory Instruments according to the design aim, investigates the design proposal of the application program, chooses development platform, and completes the developing work of the fully functional application program.Chapter six conducts experiments on Turbine Supervisory Instruments designed in this thesis. After experiments and the analysis of the test data, the results indicate that the system designed in this thesis is effective and it solves the problems existing in modern Turbine Supervisory Instruments such as limited function, low processing efficiency.Chapter seven concludes all the research and development work of this thesis and raises prospects and suggestions on further investigation as well.
