China has been seeing the massive constructions of urban rail transit (URT) systems in her big cities in decades. There are development plans of URT constructions to be carried out in 36 cities, in which 28 cities have received the approval of the State Council. Till 2020, the cumulative operation mileage of URT will reach to 7395km. During 2009-2020, the total investment related to URT will reach to 3.3 trillion yuan, that is, the annual investment is 27 billion yuan. URT engineering has many obvious characteristics including dispersal of construction sites, lots of participation partners for construction and operation, underground construction risks, and so on. Under the traditional security management model, it is hard for anyone to overcome poor timing of information transmission, low level of data sharing and weak collaboration among the partners, as a result, the valuable data, collected during the construction and operation, could not function well. The development of new security management system, which is able to utilize fully the data for serving URT construction and operation, is necessary.In order to build a basic platform for collaborate security management of urban rail transit construction units so that the information can be shared and the security risk can be found and treated timely, information technique is introduced into Guangzhou rail transit engineering, and"engineering safety, quality and information management platform for Guangzhou urban rail transit","remote video monitor system for Guangzhou urban rail transit","access control management system for Guangzhou urban rail transit"are developed. Finally the whole engineer achieved to fine management and information. The thesis is mainly focus on the study of"information technique used in security management for urban rail transit", and the information adopted during security management such as quality and information platform, remote video monitor system and access control management system are studied in the thesis, which is an innovation and challenge for traditional security management.The main innovation of the thesis is the innovation of security management measures compared to traditional management. Modern information techniques are introduced to security management of urban rail transit engineering. And based on Guangzhou urban rail transit construction, a new security management model is provide in the thesis and can be extended to other rail transit constructions.
