A Study Of Elevator Monitoring System Based On CAN Bus

This paper studies a set of Elevator Monitoring System (EMS) based on CAN bus. With the increase of high-rise buildings and residential quarters, the elevator, as the vertical transport, has been more widely used, and has become a symbol of city urban material. The elevators of different users are widely distributed geographically. The traditional manual method can not timely discover or deal with when the elevators are out of order, which gives the elevator maintenance a big inconvenience. Elevator Monitoring System (EMS) means monitoring, management the data, maintenance, analysis and do some rescues after the elevators have been installed in the buildings. The emergence of the Elevator Monitoring System can completely solve the Elevator fault that processing is not seasonable. The system is based on CAN bus, and it can improve system performance and system versatility by CAN bus. The system consists of group controller, the elevator controlling system and the elevator monitoring system, etc. The EMS can monitor the elevator of different forms of control, in the case of changing the program of it; through a variety of monitoring methods and can help to monitor the elevators from different sides. In this paper, I go into details about the development of China's elevator, and propose the EMS based on CAN bus through the introduction of the elevator group control system, elevator monitoring system and CAN bus technology.The article discusses the implementation of the system through the aspects of Frame structures, functions of each subsystem,hardware structures and so on. At the same time , the EMS is designed through Visual Basic and Access database as a monitoring software. This software is graphic combination and easy to master. Compared with similar products at home and abroad, This EMS is more feature-rich, very friendly in human-machine interface, much flexible to realize and lower cost. As the gradual development of intelligent building, the EMS has a high market value and good prospects.
