The railway industry of China has entered into a rapid development period when Wuhan-Guangzhou, Zhengzhou-Xi'an, Shanghai Nanjing, Beijing-Shanghai and other350km/h high speed lines were put into use one after the other. The CTCS-3train control system has been adopted as the unified technology platform for300km/h high speed railway in China. As a high security criticality engineering system, establishing the CTCS-3train control system model and simulating the system in simulation platform laboratory has great importance as well as practical significance to verify and evaluate the corresponding line program itself.Every software platform should be tested and verified before it is used. This paper proposed a test method based on fault injection technology to simulate some fault scenes in CTCS-3. By analyzing the response of some critical equipments in the system we can verify the completeness of device capabilities and then improve and perfect the system. The main work of this paper is as follows:First of all, this paper introduced the train control system and the development and application of fault injection technology and simulation technology not only at home but also abroad. The principle, properties, classification and application of fault injection techniques are studied.Then in view of the characteristics of fault injection into distributed system, the author has designed the trackside unit CTCS-3simulation and testing platform based on fault injection technology. Then a CTCS-3system trackside equipment fault injection test and verification method is proposed when the characteristics of CTCS-3simulation and testing platform are considered. By establishing the fault models of different trackside equipments according to their properties, such as balise, switch, rack circle and signal, the test cases finally are given.The trackside equipment fault injection test and verification unit is built in the Windows environment and developed by Visual C++6.0.This paper has accomplished fault injection controller, fault injector (trackside simulator), data collector and data analyzer.Finally some examples are taken to execute the fault injection and verification so that verify the feasibility of the fault injection system.
