Reinforcement Measures For Wall Of Rural House With Opening And Finite Element Analysis

In rural areas in Beijing, there are a lot of masonry houses constructed by low intensity or even mud. With the increase of time and improved seismic standards, the houses are in urgent need of reinforcement and protection because of its low intensity. This paper carries out finite element analysis of three walls with openings combined with structure and characteristics of rural houses in Beijing, seismic reinforcement technology, quasi-static test and shaking table test. They are unreinforced model, single-sided steel mesh reinforced model, single-sided steel mesh and steel window frame reinforced model.By whole modeling method, this paper gets stress-strain, hysteresis characteristics, skeleton curve and stiffness degradation curve under low-cyclic loading. Combining with measured experimental data, the results of the three models using finite element method are basically consistent with the experimental measured results according to the analysis. It can reflect the experimental condition and can be used to simulate the actual components of the seismic reinforcement.After the reinforcement by single steel mesh, the envelop area of hysteresis curve is1.5times of the initial one. The damaged load is115percent of the initial. The shear strength and seismic performance of the wall are greatly improved. After reinforcement by single steel mesh and steel window frame, the envelop area of hysteresis curve is2.5times of the initial one and the damaged load is210percent of the initial, which combined with the unreinforced model. The shear strength and seismic performance of the wall are improved further.Contrast with two program, although the effect of steel window frame is obvious, the construction method is complex, which is poorly economic. Reinforcement method depends on seismic standards of the region.
