Hydraulic transmission is wildly used in modern industry applications. Due to its excellent performance in output-power/quality ratio and extensive speed adjustable range, it's supposed to be the preferred solution for applications like construction machinery and equipments. Water hydraulic is known as a green, non-pollution solution for modern hydraulic engineering, and is considered to be an important direction along the development of hydraulic transmission. The performance of a water hydraulic pump, as the key component in certain system, would directly influence the overall performance of the whole system. However, due to the nature characters of water medium, there are some common problems to be solved for the water hydraulic components, such as corrosion, lubrication, friction-wear and cavitation. Study on these issues is not only in order to make water pumps, but also give some guidance to the manufacture of other water hydraulic components.According to the corrosion of key components in the former generation of water pump, some anti-corrosion tests of metal materials and heat-treatment are carried out to screen the proper solution of metal materials in water pumps. A new prototype of water pump is manufactured based on the results of screening tests. According to the final test, it shows that:the anti-corrosion performance of the new prototype has made a great leap forward compared to the previous generation. The main thesis reads as follows:In chapter 1, an overview of the water hydraulic technology and the research status of the material corrosion resistance for water hydraulic components, home and abroad, is given, it will also summarize some research on prototype of water pump and related products, and accordingly, the importance of this research is introduced.In chapter 2, based on the function analyze of the different parts in a water pump, a overall scheme is established, according to which, a corrosion test is carried out to screen some proper metal materials. Initially, a few metal materials and heat-treatments are selected as candidates. In chapter 3, the salt spray test is organized and carried out according to relevant standards, records are kept during the experiment and some post-processings are given to the samples.In chapter 4, the micro morphology of the sample after salt spray test is discussed with the help of electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectroscopy, and some common problems and principles could be summed up from the results.In chapter 5, the manufacture processing, test plans and results of the new generation prototypes are introduced in this chapter, after a teardown-inspection, the overall performance of the prototype is remarkable, the components show great anti-corrosion performance.In chapter 6, an overview of the full content of this thesis is summarized, some outlooks are given in this direction.
