Nantong is located in the southeast coast of China ,the land of nearly one thousand years since the civilization history and construction .Nantong has its own unique cultural characteristics and regional style ,the modeling of architectural styles and style also is unique ,and Nantong building in the Chinese building history plays a very important one seats.This article chooses Nantong old folk houses as the research object, In the past for the study were concentrated in Nantong political economic,history,education and other fields ,Or to the stress on the modern construction and development of the achievements of the Zhangjian individual merits and achievements ,and for the research of Nantong history buildings especially traditional houses is very little folk house as the most common one of the traditional building types,frequently inherited and followed the local folk traditional culture ,that most can reflect a city historical and cultural value .Now Nantong peremptory has become one of the national historical and cultural cities .And the local dwellings ,especially with some old scale is in good conservation of residential buildings reflect the folk culture connotation, historical and cultural values are all worth discussing topics. The author in the previous research on the basis of analysis, access to history, textual research material analysis, and through the old traditional residence of Nantong existing field of surveying and mapping, survey, photo taking, visit investigation ,systematically analyzed the system to the tradition- al local style dwelling houses building modeling and its characteristics and decoration of the formation of, historical background, and at the same time closely Nantong regional culture characteristics were analyzed , to hope to improve traditional domestic architecture in Nantong prot- ection, development and further to explore the local architecturculture .
