Power system digital simulation software plays an indispensable role in research of dynamics characteristics of power system, and particularly several pieces of such software are needed in a simulation study of a large magnitude of power system. As overseas advanced simulation software incorporated, it is necessary to conduct a research on disparity between the international software and its Chinese counterparts, so as to fulfill the necessity of transference between these digital data. The present study mainly focuses on the issue of transference of the South China Power Grid's BPA data to be PSS/E data.The thesis starts with a comparison of calculating approach and formats of date of BPA and PSS/E in load flow and transient stability, respectively, which functions as the basis of realizing the inter-transference of the two categories of data. Next, the differences of power flow calculating conducted by BPA and PSS/E are examined, including modes of types of BUS, transformers, transformers, generators,load and area interchange, etc., thus the thesis poses and programs corresponding method to transfer power flow. Based on further scrutiny of BPA and PSS/E as to dynamical models for transient stability, which covers modes of generators, load, excitation system, control block diagrams and controlling units of turbine and governor, and power system stabilizer, as well as the HVDC modes etc., the present study explores an approach to transfer related dynamic data and programs a software promoting the stability of such transference. Furthermore, the thesis applies the IEEE9-bus power system for example, and thus compares the results of calculating to verify the soundness of the transference of data.The present study undertakes transference of BPA date of the South China Power Grid into PSS/E data, covering a comparison between DC data and calculated results of power flow which excluded DC data, examination of accuracy of transference of data of power flows, and demonstration of reliable compatibility of the transference program in data transferring. Through comparison and contrast of the transient stability simulated results of BPA and of PSS/E, in the event of the same malfunction, it is shown that the two results fundamentally resemble each other, which indicates the transferred data are correct.
