With the rapid development of science and technology, waveform analysis instrument as measuring tools of high speed and transient signal become more and more important and propose severe localization for the instrument. In recent years, waveform analysis instruments of Tektronix company and Lecroy company, lead technology and innovation, its trigger function become more powerful.One of the prominent features of instrument have various of trigger ways to adapt types of measured signal,these are also the weaknesses and deficiencies of domestic instruments. Waveform analysis instrument is expected to continue the trend toward more professional development, especially for field on-site services and automobile, the electric power, the physical phenomenon and mixed signals with the application. This paper design and realize the digital triggering system. The localization of such equipment poses a severe challenge.To observe signal effectly and analysis the measured signal, the waveform should be able to stable display on the screen of the instruments, which need to set some trigger condition, make measured signal continuously compared with the trigger conditions, when the measured signal to meet the conditions, Trigger only started a data collection, allowing users to meet the trigger conditions for observing the waveform on the screen. Trigger system is important and difficult design of the oscilloscope and network analyzer instrument, it is a sign of such instrument to capture and display the measured waveform stability of the key technology, it is the basis of waveform analysis. The method to realize is that the same part of the input signal display constantly. As you can imagine, if every time the initial scan from different positions of the signal, the waveform will mess.However, trigger is to display every time when they are in the same position, so the waveform stable display.This research include:The first chapter briefly describes international research status, future trends and technology indicators of waveform analysis instrument; Second is the trigger system design and modern to achieve these basic hardware platform of trigger system; third is trigger channel design and control; fourth the time control of trigger system, include trigger select the module, trigger hold-off module, trigger and acquisition and control module, and the ARM and FPGA communication;The fifth chapter is debug the trigger system, include video separation, level trigger, the time-base module and the trigger module debug; Finally, summarize the paper.This system has many advantages such as higher reliability, high flexibility, low cost and so on.It has a good application of market.
