Research On Modeling And Dynamic Simulation Of Vacuum Circuit Breaker Operating Mechanism

The sustainable development of electric power industry brings a great opportunity of development to circuit breaker manufacturing in our country. Circuit breaker as the most important control equipment in the power system, the excellence and reliability of the performance directly related to the safe operation of the power system. The promotion and application of New technology,new material and new equipment play a very significant role to improve the safety of the power system.This paper is finished on the basis of accomplishing the design of spring operating mechanism which can coincides with ZW7outdoor vacuum circuit breaker designed by Yunnan Switch Electric Co., LTD. The paper applied virtual prototype technology to the design of operating mechanism used in the circuit breaker. Analysed the working principle and mechanical parameters of the ZW7outdoor vacuum circuit breaker operation structure, gave kinematics and dynamics differential equation of opening and closing operation system of spring operating mechanism, a thorough discussion is made on the design process of the opening and closing in the circuit breaker spring mechanism. At the same time, the three-dimensional entity model of ZW7outdoor vacuum circuit breaker operation structure is established by Pro/E software, and successfully imported to the simulating software ADAMS through the special interface module Mechanism/Pro of Pro/E and ADAMS by the MSC company. The virtual prototype of this type spring operating mechanism was built in ADAMS software, and carried on the simulation analysis, got characteristic and some key data under the work motion, to provide basis for optimizing and refining the mechanism of this type circuit breaker structure.Research shows:the virtual prototype technology can set up the analysis model of whole spring operating mechanism in a short of time, and simulate the movement process of all time, and greatly reduces the time and high cost on manufacturing and testing process of spring operating mechanism, this makes the research has great engineering application value and the important practical significance. At the same time, this analysis method and research model can improve the analysis efficiency and design level of circuit breaker spring operating mechanism, and provide the method and experience for the new product development process in the use of virtual prototype technology.
