Burning oil is the main method of ignition of the thermal generator set in our country. Traditionally, large industrial coal boiler uses exotic fuel such as fuel oil and natural gas to realize the ignition and the stable burning, which will consume a large quantity of fuel oil and increase the cost of generation of electric energy. To solve this problem, the plasma technique is introduced to the ignition of boiler in power station and form the novel technique of ignition of boiler. It ionizes the air with the electric power and produces the plasma to ignite the volatilized coal powder. Oil-free ignition and stable burning saves the fuel oil resource and decreases the cost of running. In addition, with the combined use of electric ash-separator, it reduces the pollution of environment. The full burning of coal powder also reduces the discharge of poisonous matter.In this article, the method of ignition and control methods of boiler in the power station are suggested, the drawbacks of traditional technology of ignition and stable burning are analyzed in the aspect of energy-saving and environment protection. Based on the calculation and analysis of the electric arc load of plasma generator, under the principle of plasma generator, a real-time power control strategy of plasma ignition is studied. The strategy builds the simulation model in MATLAB/SIMULINK platform, and the parameters are configured, which ensures the feasibility of the system. Finally, the configuration of hardware and the development of software program under STRUC L based on SIMADYN-D are implemented. It is shown from the experiment results that the novel control system of power supply presented in this paper has good dynamic performance. A stable power supply is supplied for the electric arc of plasma generator.
