With the social development and the improvement in the level of modernization, the cement demand is continued growth in China. In the process of the cement production, the issue of engineering slope protection which affected by many factors is becoming increasingly prominent. How appropriate the protection to be, which is the most important issue to be considered in cement plant construction and production process.At present, the domestic and foreign research mainly focus on highway associated slope protection system to evaluate, but whether these systems can be applied to other project types of slope protection, has no yet relevant reports.Through reviewed the literature, the investigations in the field and using the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to establish a system for assessment. With establishing goal level and factor level, the evaluation of engineering slope protection mode in cement plant construction and production process has been evaluated and analyzed, and get the best protective measures.Main conclusions are as follows:(1) The design for the evaluation of engineering slope protection mode in cement plant construction and production process should make the appropriate classification of slope. For soil and abrupt slopes, should choose the plants protective and engineering protection method combined comprehensive protection; for steep slopes, either soil or rocky, the engineering protective measures should be considered.(2) The model of engineering slope protection should be fully investigated and analyzed the geographical location, topography, geology, meteorology, hydrology, soils, vegetation, and other natural description in the project area, based on the scientifically chosen to ensure that the least amount of inputs to obtain the greatest ecological, economic and social benefits.(3) The evaluation of engineering slope protection mode in cement plant construction and production process was established, through selecting appropriate indicators, using AHP to analysis and evaluation the model which shows that, the results are consistent with the actual situation, means this method is feasible, and provides a reference for similar project.
