Changes of leaf colour,pigment content,relative electric conductivity,MDA content,soluble sugar content and enzyme(SOD,POD) activity of leaf of Photinia xfraseri Red Robin'were searched of different K+ and pH treatments by using method of water cultured. Purpose of the research is to provide evidences for the application under different garden environment of Red Robin'.The main findings are summarized as follows.1.The effects of different K+treatments on leaf colour and physiology property of Photinia xfraseri Red Robin':(1) Increasing the level of the K+ of nutrient solution can promote the synthesis of anthocyanin and the expression of leaf colour of Red Robin'.The leaves will extend the time of the red leaves and will not be damaged when the level of K+ is16 mmol/L,it has a ideal promotion to leaf color.The view of leaves will be good in the one-month period when the level of K+ is 24 mmol/L, but when the time last for 40 days,they will be slight damaged. When the level of K+ is 32 mmol/L, it will result in leaves be damaged when the plant be tremented for 20 days,and the old leaves will fall off and cause significant potassium when they be tremented for 40 days,it is not conducive to the expression of leaf.(2) When the level of K+ was 16 mmol/L,the physiological has a small range of changes. When the level of K+ was 24mmol/L and 32mmol/L,there will be a stress on plant caused by K+ as the processing time goes,the electric conductivity and MDA content will increase,at this time,the plant will do self-repair by increasing the soluble sugar content,the activity of SOD and POD.However, this repair capacity is limited, the conductivity and MDA content will increase again. When the level of K+ was 32 mmol/L, the soluble sugar content, SOD and POD activity were the highest of all treatments.2.The effects of different pH treatments on leaf colour and physiology property of Photinia xfraseri Red Robin':(1)Acidic environment can promote the synthesis of anthocyanin and the expression of leaf colour of Red Robin'.When the level of pH is 4.5,it will promote the accumulation of anthocyanin content while also damage the plant in short term(10 days). When the level of pH is 5.5, the expression of leaf colour is the best, and the plant has not been significant damaged. When the level of pH is 6.5 and 7.5, Red Robin'grow normal and the expression of leaf colour is general. When the level of pH is 8.5, the expression of leaf colour is the worst, normal growth is stressed by alkaline.(2) The appropriate growth pH range of Red Robin'is 5.5-7.5,they will be stressed by acid or alkaline when out of this range, the electric conductivity and MDA content will increase, the soluble sugar content,activity of SOD and POD will also increase to regulate the plants.But this regulation is limite, the electric conductivity and MDA content will increase again at the end of the experiment.The change of the physiological indicators is flat when the pH of environment is 6.5 and 7.5,this means Red Robin'have not been stressed,and this is consistent with the appearance of this plant.
