Studies On Rapid Propagation Of Photinia×fraseri

Photinia×fraseri is a hybrid of Photinia Genus in Rosa Family. It was imported Jiangsu Polytechnic College of Agriculture and Forestry from abroad in 1998. It is one of most fashionable red leaf trees in the whole world. It is evergreen small tree and is named "bodyguard of red cloth". New branches and young leaves are bright red and durable and dazzlingly beautiful. Old leaves are dark green. It compare with native soil trees with excellence of biology characteristic, new breed, easy in cultivated technique and extensive in landscape gardens using.Through the research of Photinia fraseri to tissue culture growing seedlings, hard-branches cuttage growing seedlings, young-branches cuttage growing seedlings, cost accounting, analysis in economic result, habit, landscape gardens using and so on, the paper are shown the results:1. Surface sterilization of explants in tissue culture seedlings kill microorganisms in 10-15min with 0.1%HgCl₂ solution. Medium of inducement adventitious buds: MS+0.05mg/LNAA+2.0mg/L6-BA. Buds on the side of the twig have sprouted lateral twig after twenty days, average. Medium of multiplication adventitious buds: MS+ 1.0mg/LBA+0.1mg/L6-BA. Buds on the side of the twig have sprouted a large quantity of lateral twig, average increase 5.9 times. Medium of strong seedlings: MS+0.5mg/LNAA+0.5mg/L6-BA. Buds on the side of the twig have sprouted a large quantity of lateral twig, average increase 3.1 times. Medium of striking roots: 1/2MS+1.0mg/LIBA. After twenty days, the explants have striked roots more than 66.3percent. Allmediums added to threepercent's sucrose and 0.65 percent's ager. PH: 5.8. Culture temperature 20-25℃. Light intensity 1500-2000lx. Light time 12h/d. When striked roots seedlings transplanting hole plates of plastics in greenhouse, It is better to base soil with vermiculite: pearlite: peat=6:3:1, and control temperature and humidity.2.When Photinia Xfraseri used 200ppm ABT striking roots powder solution soaking 3 hour, best base soils are vermiculite in May and vermiculite:pearlite:peat=6:3:1 in June.3.According to habit and test of rapid breeding, production unit can produce rapidly on a large scale to use tissue culture and cuttage growing seedlings with planting-cloth covering. The unit can make a better profit in economic through reasonable assignation of people and materials.4.Seedling of Photinia Xfraseri usually sptrout three times a year. New leaves change the colour from light ivory red to bright red and from light red to dark green, red leaves period about a month. In landscape Photinia Xfraseri can use in colour block, colour hedge, tray landscape, sidewalk tree modelingand making scene etc.
