The Economic Benefit Analysis Of Luxi,Chinese Simmental And Holstein

Base on the breeding, production, market conditions and future trends of Luxi, Chinese Simmental and Holstein, the parameters of economics, biology, nutrition and breeding for 3000 Luxi cattle,20,000 Chinese Simmental and 2475 Holstein were analyzed. Profits of four stages for three breeds were constructed by marginal budgeting method, and economic benefit (profits) of three breeds was obtained under the current production status. Results indicated that profits of Luxi cattle, Chinese Simmental and Holstein ranged at -920.61～3423.63,-574.88～7783.49 and-1003.96～12131.74 yuan respectively.The total profit of Holstein was the highest (10866.03 yuan) in three breeds. However, large-scale dairy industry demand better cattle, facilities, personnel, feed and a larger investment with lower returns during the first 1～2 years. Therefore, we advised those enterprises with a strong financial background to raise. The total profit of dual-purpose Chinese Simmental herd was 9405.58 yuan. Because of strong adaptability, roughage-resistance and low demand to feeding management and feeding technology, it is suitable for either large-scale feeding or small-scale farmers feeding. The total profit of Luxi herd was lowest (3669.52 yuan). Profits points of Luxi cattle were mainly focused on the calves and fattening period, which were 1536.4 yuan and 3423.63 yuan respectively. Loss points in the period of young cattle and adult cows were -369.9 yuan and -920.61 yuan respectively. For Luxi cattle, we should improve large-scale breeding, integrate reproduction, fatting and slaughter to produce high-grade beef and make profits to make up the loss in cows.
