The purpose of this paper is to study the effect of different proportion of refined feed on the production performance and breeding efficiency of simmental cattle in China, and to explore the most suitable proportion of refined feed with corn instead of concentrated feed,so as to provide scientific basis for the fattening of small-scale beef cattle.30 Chinese simmental cattle with good body condition, the same age(7 months)and similar weight were randomly divided into 3 groups(groups A,B and C).Each group had 10 replicates, and the 3 groups were fed with different diets with different proportion of refined feed.On the basis of the fine to coarse ratio of 3:7,control group A was fed A ratio of 2:8(concentrate:corn).Experiment group B:feeding 2.5:7.5(concentrate:corn)ratio diet;Group C was fed a ratio of 3:7(concentrate:corn).The feeding trial period was 72 days,of which the pre-feeding period was 12 days and the trial period was 60 days. The specific test results are as follows:(1)there was no significant effect of different proportion of refined feed on feed conversion rate, body oblique length and chest circumference(P>0.05).With the increase of the proportion of concentrate in the diet, the weight gain and average daily weight gain of the test cattle increased, but there was no significant difference between the test groups(P>0.05),but the body height increased significantly(P<0.05).(2)there was no significant effect of different proportion of refined feed on the basic physiological indexes and blood biochemical indexes of simmental cattle in China(P>,0.05).(3)in terms of breeding benefits, the diet of group A was 7.14 yuan(head·d)-1,the diet of group B was 7.35 yuan(head ·d)-1,and the diet of group C was 7.56 yuan(head ·d)-1,with no significant difference in input costs(P>,0.05).In addition, the average income of group A was 19.13 yuan(head ·d)-1.The average benefit of group B was 21.58 yuan(head·d)-1.The average income of group C was 22.87 yuan(head ·d)-1.To sum up,under the experimental conditions, when the proportion of refined feed in the daily grain was 3:7(concentrated material:corn),the impact on the production performance of China simmental cattle was the largest, the input cost was the highest, but the breeding benefit was also the largest.
