| Prunus mume 'Fenban', P. mume 'Nanjing Wanfen', P. mume 'Tiegu Hong'and P. mume 'SunlunYudie' were respectively as the objects of the study on the flowering process and the postharvestphysiological characteristics of Mei Flower (P. mume) by the determination of the physiological andbiochemical indexes parameters about flowering and senescence. The physiological indexes and theflowering correlation coefficient of the Mei cut flowers of3kinds of vase solution during vase periodswere studied to determine for the best vase formula of different cultivars. The main results showed asfollows:1. During the flowering process, the florescence of P. mume 'Fenban', P. mume 'Nanjing Wanfen'and P. mume 'Tiegu Hong' were18.5d,19.2d,15.3d separately. All cultivars were shown certain law ofthe longest tight blossom period and the shortest early opening period. All cultivars had the obviouscharacteristic of flowering process. And the ornamental values were different. But the morphologicalcharacteristics were similar to the same process of all cultivars.2. All the physiology and biochemistry indexes of Mei Flower between the6different floweringprocesses showed certain law. The petal's relative water content showed the law of"decreased-increased-decreased". Relative permeability of cell membrane increased. CAT activitydecreased. Free proline content and MDA concentration first decreased then increased. Soluble sugarcontent, soluble protein content, SOD activity and POD activity first increased then decreased. And theindexes of3cultivars also had some differences. The indexes of the tight blossom period and the colorappearing period were better than others. And the flowers in these two periods were suitable forharvesting and processing.3. With the extension of the vase time, the flowering rate of the flowers in3vase solution wasgradually increased. And the maximum value was present to the6thday. Then it decreased rapidly. Thevase life terminated at the7thday. The vase life of P. mume 'Nanjing Wanfen' and P. mume 'SunlunYudie' were both7days.2vase solution formulas had different flowering effects to different cultivarsof Mei Flower. And vase solution is not useful to improve the completely flowering rate of cut flowers.4. Vase solution3%sucrose+10mg/L6-BA+200mg/L8-HQC was better for P. mume 'SunlunYudie' cut flower. Vase solution3%sucrose+200mg/L Al2(SO4)3+200mg/L8-HQC was better for P.mume 'Nanjing Wanfen' cut flower.5. During the vase process, the petal's soluble sugar content, soluble protein content and relativewater content first increased then decreased. The relative permeability of cell membrane increased. SODactivity showed the law of "decreased-increased-decreased". |
