Objective:To investigate the expression and clinical significances of S100A4 and TSP-1 (thrombospondin-1) in tissue of different cervical variations and their correlations. Methods:The expression levels of S100A4 and TSP-1 of 20 patients with cervicitis,32 patients with CIN(cervical intraepithelial neoplasias), and 39 patients with cervical carcinoma were detected by immunohistochemistry S-ABC.The data was analyzed with MIAS Image analysis system and SPSS18.0 soft ware. Results:The averge gray of S100A4 in cervicitis,CIN and cervical carcinoma were respectively 154.21±9.56,137.18±10.04,120.83±11.29. There was a signficant difference among the groups(P<0.05). The expression of S100A4 was correlated with clinical stage and lymph nodes metastasis, but there was no closely related to differential degree, tissue type and ages. The averge gray of TSP-1 in cervicitis,CIN and cervical carcinoma were respectively 119.12±8.30,134.89±10.39, 149.01±11.00. There was a significant difference among the groups(P<0.05). The expression of S100A4 was negative correlated with TSP-1 in different cervical variations(r=-0.538, p=0.000), and have statistical sense.Conclusion:1.The expression of S100A4 in cervicitis, CIN and cervical careinoma is increased by degrees, and is correlated with the clinical stage and lymph nodes metastasis, and is likely to promote the occurrence development and metastasis of cervical carcinoma.2. The expression of TSP-1 in cervicitis, CIN and cervical careinoma is decreased by degrees, and is correlated with the clinical stage and lymph nodes metastasis. The lower of TSP-1 protein expression may induce angiogenesis regulation mechanism disequilibrium, lead to the development of cervical careinoma.3. The expression of S100A4 is negative correlated with TSP-1 in cervical carcinoma and reminded S100A4 may decreased the expression of TSP-1 in the development of cervical careinoma.
