Objective:We sought to test the hypothesis that there is a relationship between inflammation and the prothrombotic state in atrial fibrillation (AF). Methords:We measured plasma indexes (C-reactive protein [CRP],fibrinogen(FIB), and D2 dimer (D2) in 63 patients with chronic AF and 51 patients in control group in sinus rhythm included in a cross-sectional analysis. Results:Compared with controls, AF patients had higher levels of CRP (p=0.004), D2 (p=0.01),FIB(p=0.022), Among AF patients,FIB were associates of CRP (r=0.295 p=0.034), D2 were associates of CRP(r=0.621 p<0.001),And FIB were associates of D2.But there were no these relationships in the control group. Conclusion:Increased plasma CRP,FIB,D2 support the case for the existence of an inflammatory state and prothrombotic state among "typical" populations with chronic Af.And they have a relation-ship.inflammation may be play a very important role in the prothrombotic state of AF. Antiinflammation may provide a potential target for pharmacological interruption of AF and thromboembolism and may favorably affect atrial remodeling leading to important clinical benefits.
