The Curative Effect Of Syndrome Differentiation Wuling Powder And Wuling Infusion For Nephrogenic Edema

Theory background:wuling powder was written about for the first time in "Shang Han Lun"(Cold Damage)Taiyangbing section.It has the function of inducing diuresis and excreting liquids.Wuling pouder consists of Fuling(Poria),Zuxie(Rhizoma Alismatis), Zuling(Polyporus), Guizhi(Ramulus Cinnamomi),Baizhu(Rhizima Atractylodis Macrocephalae). Treating the edema due to nephritis, in the clinic Wuling powder is mainly used to treat Shanghan Taiyang(Cold Damage)the great yang rubric stagnated fluid syndrome and syndrome of internal stagnation of fluiddampness. The original way to take wl powder was one big spoon with water 3 times a day;so, a person takes 27g in one day, and this quantity is sufficient to treat stagnated fluid syndrome.The the original treatment method was powder,but nowadays for convenience, the medicine is usually given in an infusion. However, many famous doctors think that if traditional Chinese powder is changed to an infusion, the effectiveness of the original herb will decrease. So they insist on using the medicine in the traditional way, so classic Wuling powder still has a clinical significance.Objective:To compare the differences between Wuling powder and Wuling infusion treatment of edema.Research method:clinical summary of 41 edema patients the cases were randomly divided into two groups::21 cases in the observation group and 20 cases in the control group. The obs group were given wl powder9g,3 times a day, the control group were given Wuling infusion 1 pack,2 times a day,and both groups were observed for 4 weeks. Also, urine volume, weight, blood tests (ALB CREA etc.) were checked pre-treatment and post treatment. This report uses statistics obtained from the results of the observations of the two groups throughout. Results:Of all 41 nephrogenic edema cases, of the observation group of 21 cases who were given wl powder,2 cases healed completely,2 cases showed a very positive effect,11 cases showed some effect,and 6 cases showed no effectThe total cure rate for the observation group was 71.44%. Of the 20 cases who were given wl infusion,1 case healed completely,4 cases showed a very positive effect,12 cases showed someeffect, and 3 cases showed no effect, The total cure rate for this group was 85%.Conclusion:Wuling powder and Wuling infusion can both induce diuresis to alleviate edema, increase plasma albumin,and reduce proteinuria,but there were significant that Wuling powder's effect better than Wuling infusion.
