The Expression And Significance Of Serum MIP-1β And MCP-1in Patients With Rheumatoid Athritis

Objective:Detecting serum level of Macrophage inflammatory protein-1β(MIP-1β)and Macrophage chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1) in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA),to analyze the correlation between MIP-1β,MCP-1 and disease active indexs in RA,disscuss the value of them to pathogenesis,diagonosis and prognosis in RA. Methods:Research objectives were 70 patients with RA and 20 Health people as acontrol group . 70 patients with RA were outpatients and inpatients in The First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University from Jun. 2010 to Dec. 2010,which were divided 35 cases of activities and 35 cases of remission with disease active standard (DAS)28 scores;four groups on X-ray display: 26 in stageⅠ,22 in stageⅡ,17 in stageⅢ,5 in stageⅣ. Level of Serum MIP-1βand MCP-1, erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR),C eactive protein(CRP),Rheumatoid factor (RF)and Anti cyclic citrulinated peptide (CCP) were detected. And the course of disease, morning stiffness time, the number of arthrosis tendness and swelling, and Health asscessment questionnaire (HAQ),Visual analogue scale (VAS ) et al indicators were then recorded respectively. The correlation between MIP-1β,MCP-1 and these indexs were analyzed finally. The serum level of MIP-1βand MCP-1 were detected by enzyme-linked immunosobent assay(ELISA). RF and CCP were detected by ELISA also.Results: (1)The level of serum MIP-1βin RA patients were significantly higher than that in the healthy controls with statistically significance(P<0.01),as well as it was higher in RA active group than that in RA remission group with statistically significance (P<0.01).(2) The level of serum MCP-1 in RA patients were significantly higher than that in the healthy controls with statistically significance(P<0.01),the level of MCP-1 in phageⅠ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,Ⅳat X-ray stages were gradually increasing ,the level in stageⅣwas siginicantly higher thanⅠ,Ⅱ,Ⅲstage(P<0.01).(3)The level of MIP-1βcorrelates directly with morning stiffness time ,ESR,CRP,the number of arthrosis tendness and swelling, HAQ,VAS,DAS28 et al avtive indexs,and correlates derictly with RF and CCP as well(P<0.05). (4)The level of serum MCP-1 in group with joint deformity were higher than that with no with statistically siginificance(P<0.05). (5)The level of serum MIP-1βhas no difference in four stages at X-ray phage(P>0.05),the level of serum MCP-1 has no difference between active group and remission group in RA(P>0.05).(6)The MIP-1βhas no correlation with the MCP-1(P>0.05),and the both has no correlation with age ,sex, course of disease.Conclusion:The serum MIP-1βand MCP-1 may be participated in the course of production and development in RA at pathology and physiology. MIP-1βhas directly correlation with disease active indexs in RA , as a result it may be one of the important indicators in activity of RA.MCP-1 has some relaration with Joint destruction in RA.The two has no correlation with each other.
