| objective: to investigate the relationship and related degree between the subjective sensation of nasal obstruction and the corresponding objective parameters from acoustic rhinometry. Methods: 365 patients with nasal diseases were contained and divided into two groups, one group of 220 cases for nasal obstruction, the another group of 145 cases without nasal obstruction , 70 adults without nasal obstruction as control the acoustic rhinometry Parameters including mean nasal cross-sectional area (MNCA) ,minimal cross-sectional area (MCA) ,volume of nasal cavity(NV) and nasal resistance (NR) .subjective test used the VAS scores, statistical analysis of measurement. Results: in three groups of objects, nasal obstruct groups and control groups, NV, DCAN NAR in showed a statistically significant difference (P<0.05). VAS score and NMCA, NV, DCAN NAR, existing linear correlation, correlation coefficient RNAR = 0.7385, 0.85318; RNV = - 0.74538; RNMCA = - RDCAN = 0.36967.Conclusion: AR can be adopted as an objective way to evaluate the nasal ventilation. Since NAR and NV coincide with the subjective perception of patients , they can be used as the sensitive parameters to evaluate whether the patients with nasal obstruction. |
