This dissertation is composed of two chapters. The first chapter gives an introduction to the research of chemical constituents of Pteris multifida poir. The second chapter summarizes the research progress on chemical composition, clinic, pharmacological activity of Pteris multifida poir.Pteris multifida poir (Pteridaceae) widely distributed in Southwestern of China, has been used as Traditional Chinese Medicine for thetreatment of enteritis, hepatitis, bacterial dysentery,haematemesis, haematuria, tonsillitis, parotitis and eczema. In the clinical indication has effectiveness of clear away heat and promote diuresis, promote subsidence of swelling and remove toxic substances, cooling blood stop bleeding, etc, mainly be used for cure diarrhea, diarrhoea, jaundice, deep-rooted boil, parotitis, mastitis, Snake and insect bites, external bleeding, etc. The root of Pteris multifida poir has the ability of cure diabetes mellitus, antitumor. There is no report about systemic research on the chemical constituents of Pteris multifida poir which produced inYunNan. As a part of our research team's study of the medicinal plants in Yunnan for a long time, this dissertation makes a systemic research on the chemical constituents of Pteris multifida poir which are produced in KunMing area of Yunnan Province. From the whole plant,24chemical compounds were isolated and use the modern spectroscopy method to test20of them. Among which the compound13and17are isolated for the first time, and the compound5was isolated for the first time from nature.Pteris multifida poir is a Chinese medicinal herb, which has a variety of medical effect and weiterverbreiten.
