The Effect Of Salvianola On Resistin, Adiponectin And CRP In Patients With Acute Coronary Syndrome

Objective:To observe the effect of Salvianola on serum level of resistin,adiponectin and C-reaction protein(CRP) in patients with acute coronarysyndrome (ACS), and explore the treatment mechanism of Salvianola.Methods: Eighty patients with ACS in the cardiology department of Thesecond hospital of Hebei Medical University were involved between May2011and January2012.All the patients were randomized devided into twogroups(group A and group B) and underwent coronary angiography andfollowing provisional percutanous coronary intervention.Both patients ingroup A and group B were received standard medical therapy except forSalvianola injection (200mg/d) for14days in group A.The serum level ofresistin,adiponectin and CRP were obtained before and after the treatment. Atthe same period,25healthy persons were enrolled as group C and serum levelof resistin, adiponectin and CRP were obtained.Results:(1)Before the treatment, the plasma level of resisitin and CRP inpatients of group B and group A were higher than those in normal group Crespectively(P＜0.05), whereas the level of adiponectin was lower than that innormal group C(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference between groupB and group A.(2)After the treatment,the level of resisitin and CRP in plasma both ingroup A and group B was significantly lower than those before the treatment(P＜0.05), whereas the level of adiponectin was higher than those before thetreatment(P＜0.05).after the treatment, there is a statistically significantdifference between the two groups.Conclusion: Salvianola can remarkably reduce the level of resisitin andCRP and increase adiponectin releasing. and this indicated that the Salvianola could play an important role in inhibiting inflammatory reaction ofatherosclerosis in patient with ACS.
