A Study Of The Chinese-English Translation Of Introductions Of Tourist Attractions From The Perspective Of Functionalist Theory

According to the study of World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), by 2015, China will be the Top One international tourism destination. In November 2009, China's State Council approved a New"Guidelines to Accelerate the Development of the Tourism Industry'", since then, tourism industry became a strategic pillar of China's economy. However, in China, there are on government standard of the introductions of tourist attractions.The thesis will study the translation of introductions of tourist attractions from the perspective of the Functional Translation Theory. The German Functional Translation Theory is suitable with the development of the society. A good translation of introductions of tourist attractions may attract more foreign visitors come into China, and promote the development of China's tourism industry.For such a purpose, I choose this Functional Translation Theory as my guiding theory. I hope under the direction of Functional Translation Theory, the translation of introductions of tourist attractions could be helpful for the foreign tourists.
