Correct or incorrect translation for tourist attractions concerning the meaning expressed can be accepted by the public accurately or not depending on how well the tourists can understand and have the effects of anticipation. Furthermore, poor translation in the scenic attractions and scenic spots will discredit the image of the area as well as the city. From the perspective of Eugene A. Nida’s functional equivalence theory, this essay aims to explore some strategies and standards of tourist attractions by means of selecting some representative tourist commentaries in Yichun city, Heilongjiang province and summarizing the linguistic features of tourism interpretation. The research attempts to capture the attention of the tourism administrative department, jobholders, teachers and students who major in tourism. Meanwhile, the author of the thesis has given suggestions as to how to develop the functional equivalence in respect of the target receiver’s reflection, which will help standardize the translation of scenic spots in Yichun and further facilitate the development of the tourism economy.
