Wolfgang Welsch is a famous German philosopher and esthetician, he is a representative of the post-modern, Chinese scholars quote his theory frequently in the discussion of "aestheticization of daily life", so he is familiar to us. Now our society is open, various culture show "diversity" characteristics in the exchange and collision. "Diversity" has become the core concept of post-modern. Therefore, Welsch imposed the "diversity" as the starting point, he inherited the tradition of German speculative philosophy, and made the "perception" that advocated by Baumgarten more essentially. Moreover, Welsch attempted to reconstruct aesthetics, to establish "aesthetic epistemology". Welsch advocated justice, maintaining the combination of ethics and aesthetics, he appealed to people for the concerning of "blind culture". Meanwhile, Welsch made a unique analysis on the level of "aestheticization of daily life", he thought that we are now at the lowest level of aesthetics, and recommended "horizontal ration", "interdisciplinary", and other strategies to save this situation. In addition, the current aesthetical practice of China can learn from the "diversity" aesthetics theory. In the state of "diversity" society, it has more positive theoretical and practical significance to study his theory. For the above, this paper is divided into five parts, on the basis of the material that mastered, I strive to excavate the "diversity" characteristics of Welsch's aesthetic theory, and to take it as the main line. Post—modern is the background of this thesis, I try to analyze the theory foundation of his aesthetic thought, to state his specific content and find the impact on Chinese aesthetic practice. The first chapter is a brief introduction of Welsch, including his life, works and main idea; the current research condition about Welsch in China, and the innovation of this article. The second chapter discussed the formation of Welsch's aesthetic thought, it is inspired by some previous theory, Baumgarten and Adorno have made a great impact on Welsch. Baumgarten promoted the sensibility, Adorno made the criticism of non-identity. Through these, I traced the root of the "diversity" characteristic of Welsch's aesthetic theory. At the same time, I try to analyze the "diversity" of post—modern and toThe third chapter described aesthetic theory of Welsch that containing the "diversity" characteristics. The first section explained the "diversity" characteristic in the eyes of Welsch in detail. The second section introduced the creation of "the aesthetics beyond aesthetics", it included the "aesthetic epistemology", and the multiple definitions of "esthetic". The third section discussed the advocation of "treat heterogeneity fairly" that Welsch supported, it involves "ethics/aesthetics", "the concerning for blind culture" and "hearing sense". The fourth section summarized the four classification on the "aesthetics of daily life", Welsch also proposed the solution for shallow aesthetic, including the "aesthetic interrupt", the "lateral reason", and the "interdisciplinary".The fourth chapter explored the significance of Welsch's aesthetic theory, and described the effect on China. There is a great positive significance of Welsch'aesthetics thought, so I give him an objective evaluation. The second section studied the situation and difficulties of "aestheticization of daily life" in China currently, yet the third section tried to look for the influence and inspiration of Welsch's aesthetic theory, so we can use it to face and solve our aesthetic practice. Finally, the conclusion made a brief analysis of the limitation of Welsch's "diversity" aesthetic theory, in order to obtain an objective and comprehensive assesment.
