A Study On The Relationship Between College Students' Forgiveness Differences And Family Parenting Styles

Forgiveness is an age-old topic, the study of it involving religion, philosophy and psychology. Slowly formed the system research. Since the 1990s, forgiveness is gradually become an important subject of psychological research.Forgiveness has many denifitions by different scholars both at home and abroad. Compared with others,Enright put forward the concept of the comprehensive and operable. Forgiveness is a kind of important personality traits, Forgiveness psychology including self forgiveness and forgivenessFrom the individual perspective, forgiveness is a reflection of moral quality which eflect individual character of the rational level. From a social point of view, Forgiveness reflects the certain social expectations.It is a help to build the positive relationship between prosocial behavior.Family upbringing happened in family life, Centered on the parent-child relationship, which foster the social needed for the purpose of education activities. The effect of family education, not only depends on the educator, the parents' education motivation and education content. What is more important depends on parents' parenting practices. Good parenting is conducive to the socialization of everyone. Parents are our each and every one of the first "teacher", Most of the time parents' words and deeds will bring subtle influence the growth of children. The successful family education, Should go to children's growth play a guiding, in the process of demonstration, catalytic and correction, and so on. To be able to lay good foundation for the healthy development of children.This study in nanjing normal university and nanjing university of finance and economics, full-time undergraduate college students as the subjects, EMBU and hearland forgiveness scale two research tools were used for it. The purpose is to explore college students tend to forgiveness of individual differences. And Forgiveness tendency if there is a relationship between a family upbringing. This study of nanjing normal university, nanjing university of finance and a questionnaire survey was conducted among 365 students,through SPSS to Make statistics and analysis of relevant data. The following specific conclusions are:1. Parents are the main way is given priority to with emotional warmth and understanding,But parents tend to use excessive intervention for son, punishment, and refused to deny the negative way. Compared with not only children, Only children get more positive way2. Family upbringing and individual forgiveness tendency exists significant correlation3. Forgiveness level have significant differences between different gender of college students, Boys in forgiving others and forgiving yourself is significantly higher than girls4. Gender and whether parents divorced for forgiveness has good prediction effect. Whether in a divorce for self forgiveness also has better prediction effect. Parts of the parents' parenting scale dimension to forgive others and self forgiveness also has good prediction effect.
