Sexual orientation has an important influence on the emotional life of college students. Recent years, the research about sexual orientation in the field of psychology shows ascendant trend, but this area still has some basic questions needs further exploration, most importantly is in need of a standardized research tool. Therefore, this study adopted interview, questionnaire and the technique of structural equation modeling (SEM) to explore the structure of heterosexual orientation and homosexual orientation of college student, designed to develop the Questionnaire of College Students in the Heterosexual Orientation(QCSHEO) and the Questionnaire of College Students in the Homosexual Orientation(QCSHOO).Based on the review of the literatures, interview and half open questionnaire , the first edition of the QCSHEO and QCSHOO were developed , every one containing 34 projects .Then 100 college students comes from all over the country were administered with the questionnaires. Three factors were extracted by the technique of exploratory factor analysis (EFA) on QCSHEO, and two factors on QCSHOO. Then the process of item screening that resulted in the final edition of the QCSHEO and QCSHOO.239 college students were administered with the final edition of questionnaires, and the data were used to test the fitness of theoretical models of structure of heterosexual orientation and homosexual orientation with the technique of confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Three dimensions of QCSHEO were found, namely sexuality - emotional fantasy and behavior, emotional attachment and sexual appeal. Two dimensions of QCSHOO were found, namely sexuality attract and emotional attachment. Then the data were used to test the reliabilities and validities of the questionnaires. It was found that formal questionnaires both had good reliabilities and validities, and they could be used to assess college students' orientation.
