Xie Liangqi, a native of Quanzhou, Guangxi, was once active in writing and won high remarksin early Qing dyrasty. However, Xie Liangqi lost his official position and was imposed with a fabricated charge.His losing his fame led to the ignorance of his work, Zuibaitang Collection of Poems and Writings. This is his undoubt-edly a short in understanding Guangxi's Literature in early Qing dynasty. The thesis has been divided into three chapters, mainly addressing the following topics.ChaPterone:Though its culture is not as extensive and profound as that in the central part of China, Quanzhou, Guangxi's culture enjoys strong regionalim and remark-able cultural, particularly literary, tradition. the Historical and extraction about Xie Liangqi, tries to analyze deeply the creative background and artistic characteristic of Xie Liangqi.Chaptertwo:studies the relationship between Xie Liangqi and his friends, Qian Qianyi, Ding Yaokang, He Qi and so on. Being modest, Xie made many a friend. In this ehapter, several other members of the Guangling Ci Tan, namely, Li Changxiang, Wang Shizhen, Dong Yining, Zou Dimo, Chen Yuji, Chen Weisong, Zhang Zilie and so on, Each of whom had a great impact on Xie, will be investigated.Chapterthree:Xie Liangqi contributed a lot to some literature fields, such as ancient Chinese prose, poem, and even writing's theory. His contribution was characterized by subjectivity, contemporaneity and regionality. Due to complexity in thought, profusion in motion, flexibility in form, and specialty in style, his ancient Chinese prose and poems played an import role in the literary circles in the early Q ing Dynasty.
