The most flourishing period of garden poetry is in Tang dynasty, it is also an important subject of Tang poetry. Generally speaking, gardens fundamentally differ from landscapes and fields, they also have different images in poetry. In this paper, the author takes "image" as a research tool, dwelling poems in " WenYuanYingHua" as the research subject and scope, makes a primary study on the basic characteristics of garden poems of the Tang dynasty, in order to make clear its independent aesthetic value.Gardens are the arts that create space-time by architectures, landscapes, flowers and trees, poetry is the expression of garden scene image.The artistic features of gardens in Tang dynasty. There are three main aspects in garden art ideas in Tang dynasty:organism's art structure conception, reposing temperament, taking wonderland as art paradigm.
