As China's international prestige increasing, the cross-cultural communication between China and other counties has established much closer. As a result,"Chinese fever"has risen gradually. There are thousands upon thousands foreign students come to China to study Chinese,and in the mean time,lots of Confucius institutes are established all over the world like bamboo shoots after a spring rain. Language is not only a tool of communicating, but also a carrier of culture. So how to make foreigners say authentic Chinese and understand Chinese culture well is very important. Teaching Chinese as a second language develops quikly. Not only the theoretical investigation ,but also the field of semantic ,grammar,and pragmatic have gain great achievement and wider experiences.Chinese idioms is a popular form of Chinese expression because it's concise,clear,and vivid. It is one of the most important part of modern Chinese lexicon, and also is a difficult part in the field of teaching Chinese as a second language. So scientifical and effective teaching can help foreign students learn idioms precisely, stimulate their interest of learning Chinese, raise their standard of expression and communication skills in Chinese. By ways of semantic ,grammar,and pragmatic three aspects, this paper probes into idioms teaching, trys to solve the problems in idioms teaching.This paper is divided into five parts:The first part is a summary, introduces the significance of idioms teaching, the academic achievments of idioms teaching,the information resources of this thesis,and the study thread.The second part is the study of the present situation of idioms teaching. The study analyzs《hanyushuipingcihuiyuhanzidengjidagang》the textbooks of teaching Chinese as a second language,HSK questions, and the situation how foreign students grasp the idioms, discuss the shortages,and give the related advices.The third part discusses the methods and strategies of idioms teaching through semantic ,grammar,and pragmatic three aspects.The forth part is the conclusion. It summarizes the main points of this paper briefly, and points out the limitation of this paper.It is hoped that this paper will benefit the development of idioms teaching and Chinese language teaching.
