Research On The Development Of Cultural Industry Of Zhong Yuan Urban Agglomeration

Modern service industry which takes the cultural and creative industries as the core content has become an important driving force of global industry restructuring. Many developed countries such as United States, Britain, Japan, and South Korea have determined the cultural industry as a pillar industry of national economy. To develop Cultural Industry has been becoming an important decision to transform the way of economic growth and to optimize the industrial structure.As mentioned in the national economic and social development plan for the twelfth five years that Cultural Industry development has been regarded as a pillar industry. Premier Wen Jiabao also pointed out that to promote Cultural Industry to be the mainstay of national economy in 2011 Government Work Report. This means the Culture Industry is confronted with the position transformation from the 'new engine' to the 'pillars'. All regions have developed plans and issued policies to raise the development of Cultural Industry boom. However, the research results about different region's Culture Industry will be diverse depending on the different level of each region's economic development and the varying degrees of cultural resources.This report adopts the combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis method to discuss the current status and prospect of cultural industries of ZhongYuanUrban Agglomeration. The introduction of this article mainly presents the major background, the significance of the topic and ideas and methods of the research. The first part of this report summaries the current research status and level about the development of domestic and international regional cultural industries. It also explains the related definitions and theory foundation of the Cultural Industry which can support the following research. The second part measures the agglomeration level of cultural industries of ZhongYuanUrban Agglomeration by using Location Quotient index, and then analyzes the current situation of the development of ZhongYuanUrban Agglomeration's Cultural Industry by using data collected from the combination of qualitative and quantitative researches. And then it summarizes the issues of the development of Cultural Industry in ZhongYuanUrban Agglomeration, for example irrational industrial structure, uneven degree of concentration of Cultural Industry, low level of market integration, shortage of high-level professionals, single financing channel and so on. The third part of this report uses the panel data from 2001 to 2009 to analyze the relationship between Cultural Industry Development of ZhongYuanUrban Agglomeration and Regional Economic Growth. The results show that the immature development of the ZhongYuanUrban Agglomeration is identical with the previous research about the current status and issues. Fourthly, combining the development trend of domestic and international Cultural Industry, this report discusses the development trend of ZhongYuanUrban Agglomeration'Cultural Industry, which is summarized as the scale extension, intensive, integration, creativity and integration development. Then it constructed strategic layout of the development of Cultural Industry of ZhongYuanUrban Agglomeration which is'one core, two belts with five industrial clustering'. Lastly, it put forwards some countermeasures and suggestions of the development of the Cultural Industry in this region, such as speeding up the restructuring of the regional Cultural Industry, promoting the development of cluster of regional Cultural Industry and the level of regional cultural market integration, training regional needed talent for the development of Cultural Industry, constructing the system of regional Cultural Industry investment and financing, improving government services and Cultural Industry policies and so on.This report aims to provide a reference for the theory and practice to promote cultural and economic development of ZhongYuanUrban Agglomeration, and makes it helpful to the future study of the regional Cultural Industry development.
