The performing arts is one of the most important elements in film, studying film performance art is inseparable from the analysis of movie actors and actresses. In recent years both at home and abroad the high-profile actress Tilda Swinton, in her 20 years of movie acting career which achieved fruitful results, is not only a performer with outstanding acting skills, but also a professional filmmaker.This paper study on Tilda Swinton and her acting,which analyzed her"Androgyny" performance style, form of acting and achievements in her movie performing of each period. The full text is divided into four chapters, the first chapter comprehensively combed through Tilda Swinton's film life and performance concepts, explored the source which her androgynous performance style formed of; The second chapter analyzed the ecru performance style in her prophase movies, combined with the fact of her ecru charm in these movies and how directors utilizing this charm,showing the advantage of ecru performance.The third chapter is a detail analysis about her recent film life style character acting, through examples and contrasts,showed her consummate acting skills and highlighted the relationships between the roles'characters. The fourth chapter further discussed the thought of feminism while her performing, echoed the first chapter of her life and thought combing, rised her performance achievements to a theoretical height of equality between the sexes, which was "Androgyny".This paper's innovations lie in the content of the subject, which is a minority part in the domestic film research papers, especially for the on-screen images and performance style of specific actors and actresses. Thorough research about namely professional film performers theory is still lacking, this new field is worth further exploration.
