Aladimir Nabokov is one of the most disputable America authors in 20 century. He is also the focus of critics in literature research, especially his masterpiece Lolita always favored by critics. The study of Aladimir Nabokov have achieved great success abroad, while we still have huge potentialities to develop at home, what's worse, when mentions the whole vision of his novels that is a vacancy by now. And only a few researchers entered this domain, meanwhile they hardly made any achievements. So in this thesis I try to do a comprehensive research of Aladimir Nabokov's 9 novels applying Utopia theory.Aladimir Nabokov's works are not only pay attention to form, but fully expressed his feelings. I want to explore the great thought hidden behind his works by analyzing his 9 novels. First of all, thinking comprehensively his 9 novels, I classified the characters into three different kinds of crazies, and talk about their different tragic fates. Secondly, analyzing the reason why different Nabokov's people have similar tragic fate by using Utopia theory.People who live in Utopia world have existence dilemma and desire dilemma which they cannot get over. As a free being, man must face dilemma of time and death but Nabokov's people cannot face up to them, they still struggled in the past time and departed, so they acted Utopia's tragic one by one. The failure of Utopia's desire is due to strong desire and imitations of people. At last, we get a conclusion, although the Utopia world that Nabokov described in his works fall into pieces, the failure has great meaning for Utopia. And Nabokov's Utopia world played recognition, treatment and expectation parts in reality. Nabokov expressed humanity care abroad and cherishment at the moment in his Utopia world.
