A Study On Poems Of War Before Tang Dynasty

This artical plans to the development overview of the poemof war of Tang Dynasty before,in terms of historical development,do avertical combing,and expect to get a comprehensive,systematic understanding tothis question.The article has three chapter respectively.Dealing with the history and characteristic of war poems in different periods :pre—Qin period,Han Dynasty and Jin Dynasty, Northern and Southern Dynasties.Through comparing the difference between all the methods ,find out what they have in common, and manipulating the commonality of their produres ,we can discover what types all these methods belong to ,work them in to a possible framework ,and step by step consturuct the methodology of Chinese poems about war.The first chapter mainly discusses poems of war on the pre—Qin period.The poems of war of the pre-Qin period exists in the Book of Songs mainly,demonstrated its own individuality and embodies the style both cheerful and sorrow.They avoid depaint aesthetic on war,and always creat a solemn, stately, or splendid battlefield by set out some typical military imagos.It is decides by the traditional Confucianism in China culture ,Ren as the core. The poems of war on the pre—Qin period became the pioneer of this subject matter , has set an example with its narrative technique and lyrical artistry.In the second chapter we discuss the Period between Han to Jin period.For a time in this historical period,regional conflicts were still frequent, even showing a trend of escalation,the poems of war are exponential growth in the availability. Ballad Ode of Han showed some stories and some sad life which could not outshine the horrific shadow of the war. Wars poetry in JianAn is an independent creation,with special and unusual artistic personality,showing the self-consciousness and world consciousness with independent creating spirt. The poems of war appears to the evidence of decline after Jin period for various reasons,but some outsiding woks still appeared . The third chapter discusses poems of war in Southern and Northern Dynasties. According to different area,and the different subject matter and style they demonstrate in the poems,we can divide them into three kinds。The first category can be divided into two:the one is the works of the scholars like Bao Zhao,Wu Jun.They expressed the ambition that render meritorious in frontier fortress, their works have a kind of impassioned and generous style.Another one holds some characteristics of poetry palace whose represented by XiaoGang. They combines the thoughts from frontier fortress and boudoir,and created a mournful dainty style.The second kind is the poems of war which the local scholar and ballad in the north wrote .Because the north Indigenous towards scholar,northern nomadic people deeply set great store by military affairs or martial arts influence of cultural characteristics bravely well, their poems embody optimistic and brave emotion .The third kind poem are whose wrote by Yu Xin , Wang Bao and another poet migrate from Southern Dynasties to North Dynasties.Their works holds the advantages of north and south,has a very high artistic value .The text discovered that the war poems have finished its own characteristics being the time before Tang Dynasty,the text has a summary and presentation for the model of poms of war.
